- Lead the end‑to‑end software engineering lifecycle for a smart communication ECU for a German OEM customer
- Define project scope, milestones, deliverables, and schedules in alignment with customer and internal requirements
- Ensure compliance with automotive standards (e.g., ASPICE, TISAX, ISO 16949, cybersecurity requirements)
- Manage risks, issues, and change requests proactively to ensure on‑time and high‑quality delivery.
- Coordinate and guide a mixed team of internal and external software engineers
- Ensure architectural consistency, software integration readiness, and alignment with system engineering
- Collaborate closely with hardware, systems, testing, and quality teams to ensure seamless ECU development
- Act as the primary software customer interface
- Prepare and lead technical discussions, status reviews, and milestone presentations.
- Align project priorities with customer expectations and internal management
- Ensure adherence to automotive development processes, including ASPICE-compliant workflows
- Drive continuous improvement in development efficiency, tool usage, and documentation quality
- Support audits, assessments, and customer reviews

Your profile
- Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar
- Several years of experience in software project management within the automotive industry
- Proven experience in leading distributed software teams
- Advanced understanding of embedded software development
- Experience with automotive communication technologies
- Familiarity with ECU development processes, integration workflows, and validation strategies.
- Experience with agile and/or V‑model development environments
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- High organizational and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to manage complex stakeholder landscapes and technical discussions
- Fluent in English; German language advantageous
